BIH gets featured in the ‘European Innovation Hubs in Silicon Valley’ report

Home to over 300K companies whose combined worth has almost reached $3T as well as an innovation hotspot that absorbs 30% of the global share of early-stage investments, Silicon Valley has earned its fame as a critical region for the global startup ecosystem. It is no wonder that European entrepreneurs are still often turning their sight towards the Valley for funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Throughout the process of making a name for themselves in Silicon Valley, European founders often stumble across challenges due to the fact that they are not prepared to use the right approach. Being aware of this issue in front of entrepreneurs who wish to scale globally, the European-focused knowledge clusters are increasing their presence in the Bay area and creating national innovation hubs overseas. With the mission to become two-way bridges that support economic progress, European innovation hubs are both facilitating the development of the local ecosystem and enabling the international growth of national startups. In order to highlight the efforts, impact, and activities of its fellow European “innovation facilitators”  the Emilia-Romagna in Silicon Valley initiative prepared the “European innovation hubs in Silicon Valley” report.

The creators of the research conducted an online survey among the directors of European hubs, to present how such organizations support their national and regional ecosystems in approaching Silicon Valley. Bulgaria Innovation Hub is one of the 23 featured European public and private organizations, alongside the EIT Digital Hub in Silicon Valley, Nordic Innovation Hub, the German Accelerator, SwissNext, Open Austria, and others located in San Francisco Bay Area.
